Prince William and Kate Middleton's Kensington Palace quandary

Wills and Kate are considering making Kensignton Palace their marital home following April 29th...but police and security are officers are concerned about the proximity of the Royal Couple to the hoardes of public visitors who will flock to KP (which is open to the public).

The grounds and interiors of the palace are currently being upgraded, and Historic Royal Palaces (HRP), the organisation which is responsible for the public parts of the property, expects visitor numbers to increase from 250,000 a year to 350,000 after the work is completed in 2012.

Scotland Yard will be advising Wills and Kate on security issues should Kensington be their family home.
